Around this time last year, I was in the mood for Gyoza at a different place.
So, I thought about combining the useful with the pleasant and went to Meidaimae station. Several scenes from We Made A Beautiful Bouquet were filmed there or around the station.
This Japanese film is wonderful. One of the most mature I’ve ever watched and features one of my favorite actresses, Kasumi Arimura, and Masaki Suda.

Earlier today, I was looking for some photos on my phone and I found this record of the day I went to see Call Me Chihiro at Musashinokan in Shinjuku.
As I’m a fan of Kasumi Arimura, I went right away on opening night and I wasn’t disappointed.
The movie was pretty good. Even addressing serious and often difficult aspects of adult life. Chihiro, in a very mature way, handled all situations well.

The film tells a bittersweet but realistic love story between a man and a woman, both 21 years old. They miss the last train at Meidaimae Station (明大前駅) in Tokyo and meet up there. From there, the relationship develops romantically between them.
