Namase Katsuhisa was born on October 13, 1960 in Hyogo Prefecture. In 1983, he joined the Sotoba Komachi theater company, and in 1988, he became the company’s fourth leader. Since then, he has presented highly original works to the world as a playwright and director. He left the company in 2001. Since then, he has appeared in a series of late-night variety shows, garnering attention as an actor with a unique style. He has been active in popular TV shows, movies, and stage productions.
