Maeda Atsuko is an actress and singer. Born on July 10, 1991, from Chiba Prefecture. Blood type: A. Belongs to Office MAEDA ATSUKO. Former member of idol group AKB48, first generation. Nicknamed “Atchan.” An “absolute ace” who was the center for most singles, she leads the group as one of the “God 7.” She won first place in the 1st and 3rd Senbatsu Elections. In 2011, she won the Topic Award (Actor category) at the 35th Japan Academy Awards for her first starring role in the movie Moshi Koukou Yakyuu no Joshi Manager ga Drucker no “Management” wo Yontara. She also made her solo debut with the single “Flower,” an insert song from the movie. She graduated from AKB48 in August 2012. As an actor, she has appeared in the NHK Taiga drama “Ryomaden” (2010), the drama “Q10” (2010), the drama “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ~Ikemen Paradise~ 2011” (2011), the drama “Dokonjo Gaeru” (2015), the drama “Yuriko Busujima’s Frank Diary” (2016), the film “And Then I’m at a Lost” (2023), the drama “Kashimashimeshi” (2023), the film “Love Will Tear Us Apart” (2023), and the drama “Kanojotachi no Hanzai” (2023). In July 2018, she married actor Ryo Katsuji. In March 2019, she gave birth to her first child, a boy. In April 2021, they divorced. In June 2011, she started a serialization of her child-rearing essay “31 Years Old, Mother. Sometimes Actress” in the magazine “VERY”. In 2024, she will appear in the drama “Alice in the Kitchen” scheduled to air in January, and will play the lead role in the movie “Carve Joy into January’s Voice” scheduled to be released in February.
