If you want to read my review of Shape Of Red, read this post. In レッド, Toko lived a perfectly comfortable, peaceful and emotionless life. Until she meets an ex-lover at a mutual friend’s wedding and gives herself to him.
Toko Muranushi (Kaho Indo) is 32 and studied architecture, but abandoned her career to play the monotonous role of the perfect wife.
“Welcome back. I made you a burger.”
Akihiko Kurata (Satoshi Tsumabuki) is also an architect and worked alongside Toko at the company he used to own.
“It’s been years.”
Toko had her presence dismissed by Shin at the party, but before going, she catches a glimpse of Akihito, enters an empty room trying to locate him and there he was waiting for her to steal a kiss.

Shin Muranushi (Shotaro Mamiya) was a typical only child, influenced by his mother and from a wealthy family. His wife, Toko, was someone who fulfilled all his wishes.
“It looks like I’m going to be late. Please go ahead of me.”
The couple had a 6-year-old daughter, Midori, and in Toko’s eyes, Shin was a good husband, devoted to his daughter.
“I wanted to keep working, but I’m lucky. I’m very happy now.”
Kurata knew the devoted Toko very well, even after 10 years, he knew that something was missing for her to be truly happy.
Shin had changed his mind about her going back to work and for Toko there wasn’t much that could be done without her husband’s approval.
“Without adequate childcare available, this isn’t an option.”
Toko achieved her autonomy, working in the same company as Kurata and he had to resist the flirting she received and the provocations he heard.
“We went out last night.”
Even in the face of complicated circumstances in their lives, they eventually give in passionately to their desire and begin to plan a future together.
Shape Of Red review: love ranking
Although Red is a Japanese movie with the sweetest sex scenes I’ve seen so far, performed by Kaho Indo, Japan isn’t doing well when it comes to relationships.
It’s very difficult to have quality human relationships. Everything is very traditional and, in this regard, conflicts with the parameters of modern society.
Recently, a survey interviewed 25,000 people from 31 countries about satisfaction in romantic relationships and Japan came in last place.
Why you should watch Shape Of Red
I won’t leave Shape Of Red ending explained or a download link here, but I was really impressed by Kaho’s charm in the sex scenes.
I had already seen some films with her, but none that made the charm in her radiant smile so apparent.
