If you want to read my review of The Lies She Loved, read this post. In 嘘を愛する女, Yukari thought she was living with Kippei, a research physician, but after he was hospitalized with a subarachnoid hemorrhage, she discovered that everything was a lie.
Yukari Kawahara (Masami Nagasawa) met Kippei the day he helped her at the subway station and after 5 years together, she wanted her mother to finally meet him.
“My mom said she wants to meet you.”
Kippei Koide (Issei Takahashi) despite being a caring and attentive boyfriend, he always avoided becoming intimate with people close to her.
“We had an appointment today, but he didn’t show up.”
On the night he was supposed to meet Yukari’s mother, Kippei was found unconscious by passersby who called an ambulance.
The Lies She Loved review: subarachnoid hemorrhage

Kippei arrived at the hospital unconscious and the nurses were unable to identify him with false documents, so they called the police.
“This drivers license is not registered. This is forged.”
With the exception of the address, which the police used to find Yukari, all the information Kippei carried was false, including his name.
Yukari decides to go through his things. Unsuccessful, she decides to go to Kanagawa University Hospital where Kippei said he works.
“This person doesn’t work here.”
Increasingly desperate, Yukari went to the police, but they couldn’t find any relatives, friends or bank accounts.
“Occasionally someone will use a pseudonym because they are guilty of escaping or sinning”
Consumed by rage, Yukari decides to throw his things away, but she got between so many good memories with him. They had a good relationship.
So, she decided to continue taking care of him and hire a private detective who warned her that investigating someone else’s past won’t generally have any good results.
The Lies She Loved review: (SAH)

Subarachnoid is the name of the area between the layers of tissue covering the brain, also known as the meninges.
And if there is any type of bleeding in this region, it is called subarachnoid hemorrhage, which can occur due to an aneurysm, for example.
Patients with SAH describe the headaches as horrible and if they lose consciousness, they may never be able to return to their former self.
Why you should watch The Lies She Loved

I won’t leave The Lies She Loved ending explained or a download link here, but If you are a fan of Rina Kawaei and Masami Nagasawa like me, this Japanese movie is a good choice.
Besides, this movie reminded me that a good relationship doesn’t always come from a good place, and sometimes a relationship that started with the best intentions has a bad development.
