If you want to read my review of Familia, read this post. In ラストマイル, Erena works for a distribution site. In the night before Black Friday, a bomb explodes in a delivered package and news of other packaged devices spreads terror across Japan.
Erena Funado (Hikari Mitsushima) transferred from Daily Fast in Fukuoka on the first day of Black Friday to serve the Kanto region.
“Call me Erena, not the director of the center.”
Kou Nashimoto (Masaki Okada) was an assistant to the former director of the Tokyo site for the past two years.
“The package contained a Daily Phone.”
There were dozens of other Daily Phones to be delivered, and the packages were at various stages of the operation. It was necessary to intercept them all.
Last Mile review

On the first day of Black Friday, out of a total of 7 days, 4 more packages exploded, injuring and killing numerous people.
“We deliver secure products all day long, but it’s not like we can check the inside of every package.”
Ibuki Ai (Gō Ayano) and Shima Kazumi (Gen Hoshino) from the 4th Mobile Investigation Unit, MIU404, of the Tokyo police join the case.
“The bombs explode when the package is opened.”
Mikoto Misumi (Satomi Ishihara) is a medical examiner for UDI, Unnatural Death Investigation, and is called in to investigate the victims’ deaths.
“All explosions leave the same chemical residue.”
If the media had known that the target was the Daily Fast, no one would have hired their services anymore and the company would have been ruined.
“It will spread all over the world”
And stopping the operation would also cause many deaths because the Daily Fast was transporting vitally important medical supplies.
Last Mile review: terrorist attack

Japan’s experience with terrorism changed dramatically in 1995 when a religious sect released sarin, a highly dangerous gas, in the Tokyo subway.
Nearly 15 people died, and several survivors suffered lasting effects. The sect’s leader was sentenced to death and executed 23 years later.
It was because of this event that Japan adopted the policy of not providing public trash cans on the streets or inside public transportation.
Why you should watch Last Mile

I won’t leave Last Mile ending explained or a download link here, but this Japanese film was highly anticipated, bringing together stars of Japanese television and cinema.
Satomi Ishihara, Masataka Kubota, Yutaka Matsushige from Unnatural, Go Ayano from MIU404 and also Shohei Uno, Tamae Ando, Mikako Ichikawa and Sadao Abe.
