Takiuchi Kumi was born on October 21, 1989 in Toyama Prefecture. Blood type AB. She is affiliated with Yoshizumi Motors. She began her gravure activities in her hometown of Toyama when she was in high school. She moved to Tokyo at the age of 18. In 2012, she began her acting career in earnest. In 2014, she played her first leading role in the film Grateful Dead. In 2017, she won the New Actress Award at the 27th Japanese Professional Movie Awards for her role in the film Her Life Is Not a Mistake. In 2019, she won the Best Actress Award at the 93rd Kinema Junpo Awards and the Best Newcomer Award at the 41st Yokohama Film Festival for her role in the film Crater’s Two.
