Tomokazu Miura was born January 28, 1952 in Yamanashi Prefecture. He is affiliated with Theatre de Poche. He was a popular idol-like actor who was one of the leading actors of the 1970s, and his co-starring roles with Momoe Yamaguchi in the film “Izu no Odoriko” (1974) and the series of “Red Series” that began with “Akai Giwaku” (1975) became a hot topic. He later appeared in the drama “Seibu Keisatsu” series (1982-1984) and the NHK Taiga drama “Dokuganryu Masamune” (1986), among others. His eldest son is artist Yutaro Miura. His second son is actor Takahiro Miura.
